This is a great healthy snack, that just happens to go so well with beer! It is also great as an added crunch to a salad.

The great thing about this snack is you can add whatever favour takes your fancy, I love paprika, cayenne pepper, black pepper and salt. But sometimes I add garlic powder, lemon zest or cumin.

This dish is so quick, take it to work as a lunchbox snack.

Ingredients

  • 400 g canned chickpea
  • 2 tbsps olive oil
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp salt

Instructions

    Line a baking tray with baking paper and turn the oven to 200 degrees C.

    Drain the chickpeas from the can and absorbed the remaining liquid on paper towel. Discard the loose chickpea skins.

    Add chickpeas to the baking tray, cover in oil, paprika, cayenne, pepper and salt.

    Bake for and turn. Cook for a further .

    Remove from oven and allow the chickpeas to cool.
  • 6
    Serve with a icy cold beer.
