We love going out for a good steak, but at home we have always been nervous to cook it until recently. When it comes to BBQ steak we fell that we have nailed it. It's the perfect mid week meal on a warm summers evening, all you need is 10 minutes cooking time, a good quality olive oil, salt & pepper, a tasty salad and a glass of red (and in Martin's case a quick visit to Lord of the Fries for some chips).

Ingredients

  • 400 g porthouse steak
  • olive oil
  • salt & pepper

Instructions

    prior to cooking take the steak out of the fridge.

    Heat the BBQ, in the meantime lightly oil one of the steak and season with salt and pepper.

    Add the seasoned side of the steak down onto the hot grill for (if you like your steak medium rare).

    Prior to turning the steak, lightly oil the un-seasoned side of the steak and season with salt and pepper, turn the steak and cook for a further .

    Take the steak off the BBQ, wrap in foil and rest for .

    Serve with a green salad and chips
