Balinese Grilled Fish Salad - Ikan Panggang Sambal Matah
I can't believe it's been three years since Kate, Megs and I were in Bali and undertook the fantastic cooking class at Cafe Wayan with Ana.
This salad is a winner, light and flavoursome. Have it as a main with a green salad and rice or as a part of a Balinese feast.
Ingredients
- 300 g snapper ()
- 1 tbsp coriander seed
- 1 Thumb size turmeric
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- salt & pepper
- 2 tbsps oil (not olive)
Balinese Dressing
- 3 tbsps olive oil
- 4 shallots (peeled and finely chopped)
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 red chillies (seeded & finely sliced)
- ½ tsp fish sauce
- 1 lime (juiced)
- 1 stalk lemon grass
