These biscuits remind me of Christmas and my grandmother's baking. My childhood memories of these biscuits are them always being topped with green and red glazed cherries for Christmas, if the season wasn't so festive they were topped with almonds.

This recipe comes from my grandmother's good friend Anne, they are full of butter and sugar so Nanna always refers them as Anne's Rich Biscuits. They are very sweet, so only have one or two.
