  • ½ yellow onion fine diced
  • 1 ½ tsps salt

  • ⅓ c bread crumbs

  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp ground allspice
  • ¼ tsp cayenne
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 lb lean ground pork

  • 2 tbsps butter
  • 3 tbsps flour
  • 3 ¼ c beef broth
  • ½ c heavy cream
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • ½ tsp worcestershire sauce

    Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook and stir onion and 1 1/2 teaspoons salt in butter until onion begins to turn translucent, about .
