Ingredients: 1 c. brown sugar; 1 c. sugar; 1 c. shortening; 1 c. peanut butter; 2 eggs; 2 1/2 c. flour; 2 tsp. baking soda

For health & taste, I've omitted the salt called for in the original recipe.

This recipe bears my mother-in-law's checkmark of approval.

Ingredients

1 c. brown sugar
1 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
1 c. peanut butter
2 eggs
2 ½ c. flour
2 tsps baking soda

Instructions

Keep screen awake

Preheat oven to 375º F.

Cream together both sugars& shortening.

Thoroughly beat in eggs & peanut butter.

Blend together flour & baking soda; then blend into peanut butte rmixture.

Roll dough into marble-sized balls.

Place dough balls on cookie sheet & press down with a fork to make the traditional markings.

Bake .
