I don't use enough mayonnaise to get through a 30 oz jar and I don't want to spend 4.00 dollars for 1 pint, This recipe is very good and as you can see it's very thick and the flavors you can add are endless, And if you want it as thick as whipped butter use 2 egg yolks instead of 1 whole egg. I have not tried to double recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 whole fresh pasterized egg
  • 1 tbsp white wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp dejon mustard
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ⅛ tsp cayenne powder
  • 1 ¼ c Mazola corn oil

Instructions

    Add the egg, vinegar, mustard, salt, cayenne and 1 tbsp oil to your Cuisinart processor with chopper blade, process for , Pour 1/4 cup of oil in white center pusher and let it drizzle in through the little hole in bottom of white pusher. when oil is through drizzling pull out white pusher and drizzle in remaining oil through the big hole slowly until all oil is in, It's done and should be thick, there will be a little unmixed product on sides of processor, just stir it in at the end of mixing. place in a pint jar and refrigerate up to 3 weeks.
