Maple Glaze

To really soak the flavor in, prick the pastry on which you're using the glaze a number of times before you pour on the glaze.

ᔥ Originally from "Homemade Cookies Cook Book" (1985 ed.) (from Better Homes & Gardens)

Ingredients

  • ⅔ c. powdered sugar
  • ⅓ c. milk
  • 3 tbsps butter (unsalted)
  • ½ tsp maple syrup (maple extract may also be used)

Instructions

Keep screen awake

    In saucepan, mix together powdered sugar, milk, & butter.
  • 2
    Stirring constantly, cook til mixture boils.
  • 3
    Remove from heat & stir in maple.
