Ingredients

  • 1-½ cup walnut halves
  • 1 cup madjool dates (about 12)
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 flax egg (1 T flax or chia + 3T water
  • ½ cup dark chocolate chips

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.

    In food processor, chop dates and walnuts together until crumbly. Add in salt, baking soda, vanilla, and flax egg. Process again until batter is smooth.

    Gail, I made these substituting pecans for walnuts and 1/4 cup cacao for the chocolate chips and they were also delicious!!!!!!
