Ingredients

  • ½ c. egg yolks
  • ½ c. shortening
  • 1 c. sugar
  • ¾ c. milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 c. cake flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder

    Preheat oven to 350º F. Grease 2 9-in. round cake pans.

    Mix flour & baking powder together.

    Beat eggs on medium speed of electric mixer till thick & lemon colored (about .).
