If you like a really crisp ginger snap these are the ones.

Ingredients

  • 1 c packed brown sugar
  • ¾ c oil
  • ¼ c molasses
  • 1 medium egg
  • dry
  • 2 c flour
  • 2 tsps baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp ground cloves
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ginger powder
  • cookie coating
  • ⅓ c granulated sugar

    Preheat oven to 375 In a large bowl combine brown sugar, oil, molasses and egg. in a separate bowl combine flour, baking soda, salt, ground cloves, cinnamon and ginger, add to molasses mixture to form a soft dough. roll into 1 inch balls, roll each ball in sugar and place 2 inches apart on ungreased sheet pans. bake until centers are firm, let set on pans then place on towels to cool.
