Fritter Batter

This batter is for appetizer-style fritters. It can be made up to a day ahead of time.

ᔥ Originally from "The Spanish Cookbook" (1967 ed.)

Ingredients

  • ⅓ c. flour
  • ⅓ tsp baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • water (about ⅓ c.)

Instructions

Keep screen awake

    Beat egg slightly.
  • 2
    Add enough water to flour to make a batter that has the consistency of a thin cream sauce.
  • 3
    Stir egg & baking powder into batter.
