Ingredients

  • 1 cup foxtail millet
  • ¼ cup moong dhal
  • 1 cup jaggery
  • 2 tbsps ghee
  • a pinch cardomom powder

Instructions

    Dry roast moong dhall until it changes it colour. Combine moong dhall , foxtail millet and add 3 cups of water and pressure cook for 4 whistles.

    Dissolve jaggery and stain it. Make thick jaggery syrup. Add cardamon powder.

    Add the cooked mixture in to that and mix well. Heat ghee and roast cashews , add to chakkara pongal.

    Enjoy hot chakkara pongal.
