Mix flour, baking powder and salt together in a medium bowl, cut in the lard in until it coarse split peas size, then add most of the hot water stirring until a slightly wet dough forms, remove from bowl and knead for , it will quit sticking to your hands as you need it, you want it to be really soft.

Let rest for covered with a damp towel, form into 12 equal balls and let rest . Roll out each ball on a lightly floured surface to your desired thickness. Fry on each side while your rolling out the next. Keep finished warm tortillas in between two towels, serve warm or bag when cool for later.
