Ingredients

Oleo
1 cup

vanilla

baking soda
Filling
½ cup
chopped dates
½ cup
sugar
½ cup
water
Instructions
Keep screen awake

Mix ingredients for filling then set aside.

Mix dry ingredients first, then wet. Do NOT melt the butter.

Once dough is made, cover and rest in fridge for
1 hour
.

Roll dough out into 1/4" sheet.

Using cookie cutters, made an even amount of cookies.

Put small spoonful of filling in middle of one cookie. Place an identical cookie on top of filling.

Using a fork, press the edges of the cookies together to seal the filling in.

Bake for approx.
8 minutes
until golden brown.
