Crusty Garlic Bread

This bread may be baked or grilled.

Ingredients

  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 ½ c. parsley (just the leaves)
  • ½ c. walnuts (chopped [other favorite nuts may be used as well])
  • ⅓ c. Parmesan (grated)
  • 1 tsp basil (dried; crumbled)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ⅓ c. olive oil
  • 1 loaf Italian bread

Instructions

Keep screen awake

    Drop garlic into running food processor/blender & chop finely.
  • 2
    Add & finely chop in same manner the parsley, walnuts, Parmesan, basil, & salt.

    As the machine runs, gradually add oil & blend till mixture is smooth, occasionally scraping the sides.

    Cut loaf in half horizontally & spread with herb-nut mixture.

    Wrap each loaf half loosely in aluminum foil.

    BAKING: Bake in 400º F oven till heated through (15-18-mimns.) Unwrap top & bake . GRILLING: Heat over indirect heat .

    Cut bread into 2-in. sections to serve. Serve warm.
