Chocolate Lemon Cream Bars

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg devil's food cake mix (18-¼ oz)
  • ½ cup butter or margarine (softened)
  • 1 ea. egg
  • 1 pkg cream cheese (filling, softened, 8 oz)
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk (filling, 14 oz)
  • 1 ea. egg (filling)
  • 3 tbsps lemon juice (filling)
  • 3 tsps grated lemon peel (filling)

    In a large mixing bowl, beat the cake mix, butter and egg on low speed until combined. Set aside 1 cup for topping.

    Press the remaining onto a greased 13 x 9 x 2 in. baking pan.

    Bake at 350 degrees for or until set. Cool for .

    In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth.

    Add milk, egg, lemon juice, and peel; mix well.
