Ingredients

  • ½ c. butter (softened)
  • ⅛ tsp salt
  • 1 dash red pepper, ground
  • 1 lb Cheddar cheese (sharp; shredded & softened)
  • 2 c. self-rising flour

Instructions

    Heat oven to 350° F.

    Beat butter, salt, & red pepper together till creamy. Add cheese & mix well.

    Add flour to mixture gradually, mixing till dough begins to form a ball. Finish forming dough into ball with hands.

    Fill cookie press with desire plate. Fill press with dough according to manufacturer's instructions.

    Press dough onto cookie sheets in 3-in. long strips. Vary shapes if desired.

    Bake till lightly browned (about ,).
