Cheese Grits

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups Quick grits
  • 6 cups Water
  • 2 teaspoons Season salt (Put in water)
  • 1 teaspoon Tony chacheres (Mix in after grits are cooked)
  • 1 stick Butter
  • 3 Eggs beaten
  • 1 lb Grated Sharp Cheddar Cheese

    Boil water. Add season salt and grits and cook until done (approx ). Add butter and stir until melted. Add Tony's. Best eggs and pour in slowly with one hand while stirring briskly with the other (so that there are no egg chunks in your grits). Add grated cheese and stir until melted.

    Pour into a buttered 2 1/2 qt baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for .

    I usually make the grits at night and stick them in the fridge then put them in the oven the next morning to bake for breakfast.
