Brownie Batter Cupcakes

Ingredients

  • 1 box Devil's Food cake mix
  • ½ cup butter, softened or oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tsps vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup milk
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1 cup butter, room temp (For frosting)
  • ½ cup brownie mix, dry (from box) (For frosting)
  • ⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder (For frosting)
  • 2 tsps vanilla extract (For frosting)
  • 2 tbsps milk, more if needed (For frosting)
  • 2-3 cups powdered sugar

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line pan with cupcake liners.

    In a large bowl, sift in cake mix.

    Add melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, milk and sour cream. Stir until well combined and smooth.

    Stir in mini chocolate chips.

    Fill cupcake liners 3/4 full and bake for or until an inserted knife comes out clean.

    Let cool.

    Brownie Batter Frosting: Beat butter. Add brownie mix, cocoa powder, vanilla and milk and beat again.

    Slowly add in powdered sugar until you reach your desired consistency. Add more milk if it becomes too thick. Taste as you go, feel free to add more cocoa powder or brown mix to get your desired taste!
