Make sure your steaks are fully thawed and add spices to one side about 5 minutes or more prior to cooking.

Ingredients

  • 2 Chuck Sirloin Steaks 1-1#1$2 in thick
  • 3 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 2 cuts Butter
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 2 Garlic cloves

    Season the steaks on one side prior to cooking. Season with salt and pepper and one garlic clove.

    Heat the pan to sizzling hot, then add 3 tablespoons of olive oil to the pan. Once it heats up add the steak (seasoned side down). Add salt, pepper and last garlic clove to unseasoned side of steak.

    Flip steak when steak looks half way cooked. Flip with tongs and do not pierce the meat. Add the butter on top of the steak. 1 cut of butter on each steak. Leave the steaks to cook for about 3-5 more minutes.

    For rare steaks or medium rare steaks, remove now. For well done steaks, flip to the other side and continue cooking for a bit. Baste liberally. Then remove.

    Tips: -Always make sure your skillet is big enough. A small skillet won't let your meat brown or cook properly. -Steak has a wonderful flavor and does not need a lot of spices. Adding salt and pepper liberally to eat side will be enough. -Fresh Garlic is always better to add to your recipe because it will add more flavor to your recipe. Also, if you use fresh garlic it will fry in the oils and fried garlic is delish! -Never ever pierce your meat! Always use tongs to flip and use a spoon to baste.
