Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lbs beef (boneless tenderloin / boneless sirloin steak)
  • ½ c. soy sauce
  • 2 tbsps oil
  • 2 tbsps molasses
  • 2 tsps mustard (dry)
  • 1 tsp ginger (ground)
  • 4 cloves garlic (halved)
  • ¼ c. water
  • 6 kumquats (preserved & halved [Optional])

    Partially freeze beef; then slice thinly across grain into 3-in. wide strips.

    Mix remaining ingredients together.

    Add meat strips to marinade & let stand at room temperature for .

    Drain meat, reserving marinade.

    Thread meat, accordion-style, onto 12 skewers. If using kumquats, add 1 half at end of each skewer.
