Ingredients

  • 4-6 pounds chuck roast
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 2 tbsps worcestershire sauce
  • 2 Bay leaves
  • 4 sprigs fresh thyme
  • 4 sprigs fresh parsley
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 onion quartered
  • 4 carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 2 turnips, peeled and cut in 6 wedges
  • ½ cabbage, cut in 3 wedges
  • 1-½ pound yukon gold potatoes, cut in 2 inch chunks

Instructions

    Cook meat overnight in crockpot with broth worcestershire and bay leaves.

    Remove meat and strain broth.
  • 3
    Add broth to pot along with vegetables and spices. Cook on stove until vegetables are tender. Cut up meat and add to pot. Heat through.
