Ingredients: 3 c fresh basil (united grocers ); 1 1/2 c toasted pecans; 4 cloves garlic fresh; 1/2 c grated parmesan cheese fresh; 3/4 c extra virgin olive oil; 1/2 tsp salt; 1/4 tsp black pepper

this freezes well, I make it and put 1/2 cup in ziploc snack bags and freeze it for a nice side dish.

Ingredients

3 c fresh basil (united grocers)
1 ½ c toasted pecans
4 cloves garlic fresh
½ c grated parmesan cheese fresh
¾ c extra virgin olive oil
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper

Blend the basil, pecans, garlic, Parmesan cheese, olive oil, salt, and pepper together in a food processor until the mixture becomes a smooth paste. freezes very well. drain cooked pasta, reserve 1 cup pasta water, add pesto sauce to pasta to taste, add pasta water as needed to keep it moist. serve hot.
