Apricot Squares
The original recipe calls for the addition of salt. For health & taste reasons, I omitted that & also recommend using unsalted butter.

Ingredients
- ⅔ c. apricots (dried)
- ½ c. butter (unsalted; softened)
- ¼ c. sugar
- 1 ⅓ c. flour
- ½ tsp baking powder
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 2 eggs (well beaten)
- ½ tsp vanilla
- ½ c. pecans (chopped)
- water
