very rich cookies but delicious. If you chill this dough for an hour covered then roll into logs and cut into about 1 inch pieces, they freeze very well, then bag for later baking. If you go 1 inch balls you will get 150 cookies, place on ungreased pan and give them a little mashie and bake at 350 for 8 to 10 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 c butter softened
  • 1 ½ c sugar
  • 1 ½ c brown sugar
  • 4 whole eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla
  • 4 ½ c flour
  • 2 tsps baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 5 c chocolate chips
  • 2 c unsweetened coconut
  • 2 c chopped toasted almonds

    Directions Preheat oven to 350°F.

    Combine dry ingredients, set aside In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugars together. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, stir in the vanilla. Stir in the dry ingredients until well mixed then stir in the chocolate chips, coconut and almonds. Drop by rounded tbsp onto the prepared cookie sheets.
